Set the tempo and bar count to choose the file length. Preview the rhythm and loop points before adding it to your track.
Kicks, snares, claps, rimshots, toms and metallic percussion, rendered as a single isolated event with a clean transient and a natural decay into silence. BPM and key controls are available for loops only.
Risers, impacts, textures and foley-style hits use the same one-shot path: describe the event and the material, and you get one clean, full-bandwidth capture instead of a loop of them.
Basses, pads, keys, plucks and atmospheres all work — the model conditions on plain language, so "reese bass, modulated movement, heavy club-ready" is a valid instruction, and so is a genre, an era and a room.
Write what you want to hear — instrument, texture, rhythm, space and era. Choose an example prompt and edit it, or write your own.
Choose loop or one-shot. For loops, set the BPM, key and bar count.
Renders land in your library while you keep writing. Play, scrub the waveform, favourite, download the WAV, or drag the row straight into your DAW. Hit the variation button to send a sample back to the prompt with its settings intact.

Unlimited is for personal interactive use. One generation processes at a time per account; unattended bulk automation, account sharing and API resale are not included.
It is a tool that turns a written description of a sound into an audio file. Instead of searching a sample pack for a snare that fits, you describe the snare you want — "dusty sampled rimshot, woody click, narrow punchy body" — and the model synthesises it. It returns loops, one-shots and sound effects as downloadable files.
Yes. Every account gets 5 free renders with no card and no trial timer, and they are full-quality WAVs with the same commercial rights as paid renders. After that, Starter includes 400 renders for $19 a month, Pro includes 2,000 for $49, and Unlimited is $89.
Yes. Samples you generate are yours to use in commercial releases, client work, sample packs of your own, streams and video — under the sample license, with no attribution or per-use fee. Tapechild claims no ownership of your renders.
Yes, for loops. Set the tempo and the bar count and the loop is rendered to the exact length of that many 4/4 bars at that tempo, so it lines up with the grid. The key is chosen on a small piano with sharp/flat and major/minor toggles. BPM and key controls are available for loops only.
WAV is the default. MP3 and FLAC are available under Advanced.
Not for this generator — it runs in the browser, and finished samples drag straight into your DAW from the library. Tapechild does ship a VST3/AU plugin, but it is a different product: UDS-16 is a drum synth that generates its hits from circuit models in real time, with no samples involved.
The BPM and bar count determine the file length. Generated timing can vary, so preview the loop before using it.
Usually 5–20 seconds once the GPU pool is warm. The first render after a quiet period can take up to about two minutes while workers start. Queue as many renders as you like in one sitting and the library shows live progress for each. They leave the queue in order, two at a time on Free and Starter, four at a time on Pro and Unlimited.
Your renders are stored in your private library between sessions. They are not published to a public feed. You can delete samples from your library.
