Free drum loops

Start with a groove for hip hop, boom bap, drum and bass or 80s pop. Preview each file before downloading to hear its rhythm, room sound and processing. The BPM is a starting point for your project, not a guarantee that an untrimmed take ends on a bar line.

Import the WAV onto an audio track, find a clean downbeat and trim a phrase to your grid. Listen across the loop boundary; a short fade or your DAW’s warp controls may help it repeat cleanly. Keep the original file so you can try a different edit.

Free drum kits and one-shots

One-shots let you build your own pattern instead of using a complete groove. Check the file list for the kicks, snares, hats and percussion included in each pack. Sounds may already contain room ambience or processing, so audition them in your mix before adding effects.

How to use these samples in FL Studio, Ableton and Logic

Import WAV loops onto an audio track. For individual hits, use the Channel Rack or FPC in FL Studio, Drum Rack or Simpler in Ableton Live, or Drum Machine Designer or Quick Sampler in Logic Pro. Check the source file properties if you need a particular sample rate; let your DAW convert to the project rate.

The library uses the Tapechild AI sample generator, with sounds auditioned and named before publication. These are generated sounds, not recordings of original vintage drum machines. Preview without an account; enter an email address to download a WAV or the full pack.

Questions

Are these samples really free?
Yes. Every pack downloads in full without payment. Play anything straight from the page with no account; downloading a WAV or the bundled ZIP asks for an email address once, so we can tell you when new packs land.
Can I use them in commercial releases?
Yes. The samples are royalty-free: use them in tracks you sell, stream, sync or licence, with no attribution required. The only thing you cannot do is resell or redistribute the files themselves, alone or inside another sample pack.
How were these samples made?
Every file was rendered with the Tapechild AI sample generator, then auditioned by hand and named before it went into a pack.
What format are the files?
WAV audio. Sample rate and bit depth can differ between packs; check the pack description and file properties. Your DAW can convert the files to its project sample rate.
Are these drum loops free for commercial use?
Yes. Every drum loop and one-shot in the library is royalty-free for commercial use: put them in tracks you sell, stream, sync or licence, with no attribution and no fee. The only restriction is that you cannot resell or redistribute the files themselves.
What BPM are the drum loops?
Each pack lists its intended tempo range, with a BPM beside each preview. Some files are untrimmed takes rather than exact-bar loops. Audition the timing, trim the start and end, and use your DAW’s warp or time-stretch tools when needed.
Can I use these in FL Studio, Ableton or Logic?
Yes. The WAV files work in FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro and other DAWs that import WAV. Start at the listed BPM, audition and trim a phrase on the timeline, or load an individual hit into a drum rack or sampler.
Can I get a pack made for what I am working on?
That is what the generator is for. Describe the sound, set the tempo and key, and it renders to order — the first 5 renders are free and need no card.
