This pack holds 36 boom bap drums, every loop drums only. There is no bass, no melody and no sampled music underneath — just kick, snare, hats and percussion, so the groove sits under whatever you build on top instead of fighting it for space.
Nine sit around 90 BPM, eleven around 92 and nine around 95, with single takes near 93, 94, 96 and 97 and three at 98. That spread is deliberate: these are separate generated takes at their intended tempos rather than one groove stretched to fit, so each keeps its own weight and swing.
Each break runs fifteen seconds — several bars of continuous playing rather than a single bar repeated. That gives you room to work: chop out the section you want, loop a bar or two, take a fill from the end, or drop the whole take under an arrangement and let it breathe. The audio is exactly as it was generated, with nothing trimmed, faded or levelled.
The sound is dry 90s boom bap. Kicks are rounded and short on sub, snares are cracked and papery rather than bright, and fast closed hats run tight underneath. The timing pushes and drags slightly between hits, which is where the swing lives. Audition the texture before adding your own processing — filter the top for a vocal, layer a sub kick for weight, or crush them if you want the dirt back.
Set your project tempo to the number in the break's name and drag the WAV onto an audio track. In Ableton, warp locks it to the grid and Slice to New MIDI Track puts the hits into a Drum Rack. In FL Studio it lands in the Playlist, or open it in Slicex to rearrange. In Logic, load it into Quick Sampler in slice mode.
The files are 48 kHz 16-bit stereo WAV, royalty-free for commercial releases, with no attribution required. Play anything on this page first; downloading asks for an email once.
Every break here came out of the Tapechild sample generator from a short text prompt at a set tempo. If you need a different pocket, a harder snare or another tempo, describe it and it renders to order.
The complete download contains 36 WAV files plus a licence and MANIFEST.json. The manifest lists each filename, byte size and SHA-256 checksum. These are AI-generated samples, not recordings of vintage hardware or audio rendered by the UDS-16 plugin.
Every sample in this pack was rendered to order with the Tapechild AI sample generator. Describe the sound, set the tempo and key, and generate a starting point for your track. The first 5 renders are free and need no card.
